Thame valley police were made aware or an unauthorised encampment in Wing and officers were called to Wing early on Tuesday morning (30th July).
According to Wing Unitary Councillor Diana Blamires, they were seven or eight caravans on the recreation ground, Police and Bucks Council were called.
Officers arrived on the scene, "They asked them to leave and pointed out there was evidence of criminal damage an order would shortly be served on them to leave." said the local councillor.
The football pitch is Wing parish Council land.
" A few hours later the order was served asking them to leave this evening. By 7pm this evening they had vacated the site. We don’t know where they have gone" replied Diana Blamires, Wing Unitary Councillor
