Three schools in Buckinghamshire will trial free breakfast clubs.
From April, schools including Ashmead Combined School, St Marys C of E and Hawridge and Cholesbury C of E will become what's described as 'early adopters' of the seven-million pound programme, before a national rollout.
Education Secretary Bridget Phillipson insists the clubs will help to break the link 'between background and success' - though some unions warn funding may fall short.
