Stars to turn out for charity football match at Wanderers' ground

Celebrities are set to take part in a charity football match at Wycombe Wanderers FC's Adams Park Stadium in a bid to raise money for Alzheimer's Research UK.

TOWIE stars Dan Osborne and James Argent and Britain's Got Talent semi-finalist and football freestyler, Jeremy Lynch are among the celebrities who will be taking part in the game on Wednesday, 18th May.

The Chairboys’ manager Gareth Ainsworth will also be pulling on his boots, as well as reality stars Calum Best and Joe Sealey, the sons of two Manchester United legends, George Best and Les Sealey.

Former EastEnders stars Jake Wood, best known for playing Max Branning, Dean Gaffney, who played Robbie Jackson, and Matt Lapinskas, who played Antony Moon complete the line-up of those confirmed to be taking part, with further announcements soon to be made.

The game has been organised by Sellebrity Soccer, which was launched in 2012 to help charities raise money by arranging all-star football matches across the UK.

Kevin Cooper, Sellebrity Soccer's Co-Founder, said: "We take pride in organising large-scale charity events to support and raise funds for worthwhile causes that offer remarkable help to our society.

"To help raise money for an incredible organisation like Alzheimer's Research UK is an honour as they make a real difference to those living with the memory loss condition across the UK."

Kick-off is at 7.30pm on Wednesday, May 18, but fans can enjoy the buzz of the stadium from 6pm.

Standard tickets cost £12 alongside an additional booking fee or people can upgrade to a VIP package for £30 per person, where they will gain entry to a VIP lounge, have access to VIP seats and have the chance to meet some of the players after the game.

United for Dementia is a football team raising funds for Alzheimer's Research UK after the captain, John Macinnes, lost his dad Eddie to the illness.

Most of the players are retired and have come back for one season only to raise as much money as they can through different fundraising events.

Alzheimer's Research UK is a national charity trying to find a cure for the disease that causes dementia.
