With lots of firework shows and bonfire gatherings this weekend, the local St John Ambulance team have issued some advice so everyone can have fun and stay safe.
Ken Roberts from St John Ambulance shared this with us:
"If serious injuries occur at a bonfire party, especially to children, then phone 999. You need to act quickly and calmly and a 999 operator will ask you questions about what has happened and where you are, they will then give you advice on what to do until the ambulance arrives.
You need to plan ahead to be able to deal with, as a minimum, minor burns and scolds, debris in the eye, and smoke inhalation, you can get free help and advice by downloading the St John App on your smart phone."
The advice comes after local Fire and Police crews have already had to attend numerous dangerous incidents involving fireworks, including a firework being thrown at a 18 year old boy in Aylesbury, and a bin being on fire in high Wycombe due to a firework.
