From improved bus stops to fairer fares, plans to improve bus services across Buckinghamshire are getting finalised.
Plans to improve bus services in Buckinghamshire are moving ahead, with around a month to go to finalise plans.
Bucks Council say they want to make sure popular routes are every 15 minutes during the day and that fares are standardised and attractive.
There are also ideas to make it clearer which routes go where and improve connections with train services and airports.
Their report also recognises that buses themselves need to be improved and that the system has become too confusing for some, with many different operators and routes.
Safety and accessibility also come up as areas which must be addressed, through improved bus stop accessibility, better lighting and CCTV on all buses.
Making services greener is another challenge, when the council does not own many of the buses operating across the county, but goals are being set out.
Plans will be finalised within the next few weeks.
