Man sentenced to prison for drug supply in Aylesbury

A man who was found in possession with cocaine in Aylesbury has been jailed for more than two years.

Eleftherios Kentoglou, aged 25, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession of criminal property midway through a trial at Aylesbury Crown Court on Thursday (12/9), changing his plea from an original not guilty plea.

Kentoglou was sentenced to two years and one month in prison at the same court.

On Monday 22 April this year, officers stopped and detained Kentoglou in Birch Court, Aylesbury.

He was found in possession of £400 worth of cocaine and more than £1,100 in cash.

He was arrested, charged and remanded on the same day.

PC Ben McNeill, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “We will continue to pursue and disrupt drug dealers in our communities.

“During this stop and search, Kentoglou was found in possession of class A drugs, and I am pleased we have managed to bring him to justice, and he will now serve a prison sentence.

“Tackling the supply of drugs remains a priority for Thames Valley Police. Our activity will be both visible and covert.

“We would urge anybody who has any information relating to the supply of drugs to please report this to Thames Valley Police.

“The information provided plays a pivotal role in developing intelligence into a proactive investigation and we will never tire in tackling this type of offending, which often targets and harms the most vulnerable people in our community.

“You can report via our website or by calling us on 101, or if you wish to remain anonymous, by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
