A man has been sentenced for stalking in High Wycombe.
Jacek Sadzawicki, aged 49, of Kingsley Crescent, High Wycombe, was sentenced to 15 months in prison and a restraining order at Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday (24/4).
He pleaded guilty to one count of stalking on 3 April this year.
Between August last year and February this year Sadzawicki stalked the victim, a woman in her forties.
Sadzawicki left abusive phone calls and voicemails on the victims phone, attended her home address and workplace and followed her through High Wycombe.
Sadzawicki was charged on 17 February this year.
Investigating Officer, Detective Constable Gregory White said: “This was a concerning case involving fixated, obsessive and unwanted behaviour from the defendant, which had a substantial adverse impact on the victim’s day-to-day life.
“I would like to commend the bravery of the victim in this case who has continued to support an investigation.
“Thames Valley Police is committed to bringing domestic abusers and stalkers to justice and protecting those most vulnerable.
“I hope in time the victim can learn to trust and feel safe in her own home again, and I urge anyone who is suffering from similar circumstances to contact Thames Valley Police.”
