Transitions are a charity that supports vulnerable young people with a 1-1 mentoring service in Bucks and further afield. However they're experiencing twice as many referrals for mental health projects since the pandemic, and the rise in living costs is making it harder for the charity to help everyone they can.
As it stands one project for 15 young people costs on average £40,000 per year. In 2019, the charity were helping around 100, but are now supporting over 300 very vulnerable young people and this number will continue to grow.
Senior Project Manager at the organisation Charlie Dixon-Prior told us they are in a state of crisis:

Transitions urgently need funds to increase their levels of service, and are inviting anyone to become a mentor for local young people.
