It comes as part of recently released Thames Valley Police data detailing recorded crimes over the last year.
The Crime Summary (external) for Buckinghamshire shows a 2.1% in overall crime between October 2025 to September 2026, compared with the previous year.
However, a number of crime categories saw substantial increases in comparison with October 2024 to September 2025, with the most notable - like a 14.9% rise in recorded stalking offences - shown in Bucks Radio's graph below.

Though some offence types rose this year, some (as shown in the graph below) did see notable decreases, with a more than 10% drop in knife-enabled crime.
Despite an increase in religious incidents as mentioned previously, overall hate crime saw a 14.8% decrease. A closer look at the Thames Valley Police data shows that recorded homophobic incidents fell by over 25%, transphobic incidents by 47.6% and disability incidents by 51.5%.
