A consultation is underway for plans aiming to reduce traffic and make the village safer for all.
The planned measures include a scheme to make the village less attractive for through-traffic and encourage motorists to use the new roads through the Kingsbrook development instead. It also aims to provide pedestrian, cycle, and bus stop improvements by:
- Reducing the width of the road at proposed locations to slow vehicle speeds
- Providing people safer places to cross the road
- Making it easier and quicker for passengers to board/alight a bus
- Providing parking spaces for the church
The plans follow an informal consultation from Barratt David Wilson Homes with Bierton Parish Council and Buckinghamshire Council.
Feedback on the proposed locations and types of traffic calming measures is now open from residents, local businesses, and those who use the A418 Aylesbury Road, Bierton for travel. You can see the full list of proposals, and leave your comment, using this link.
