A local football club have paid tribute to a former player.
Adam Ankers, who played Risborough Rangers FC until leaving last year to pursue his talent at Henley College, had a sudden cardiac arrest last Wednesday while playing a college football game.
Emergency services were called, and paramedics arrived within minutes, however despite the efforts of the college staff, paramedics and specialist hospital staff, Adam sadly didn't recover and passed away.
In a statement, Risborough Rangers said: "Adam Ankers a remarkable young footballer played at Risborough Rangers from an early age and continued his football journey by playing last season for our adult reserve team. While his time with us was far too short, the impact he made during his 17 years will forever resonate in our hearts and minds"
