A 26-year-old man from Aylesbury has been arrested on suspicion of possessing cannabis with intent to supply after officers stopped a vehicle in the town yesterday (2/6).
Officers from the Proactive Team stopped a silver Seat Leon in Chesterfield Place, Aylesbury, shortly after 3pm on June 2.
Following a search, the driver was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B controlled drug, namely cannabis.
He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
The man was also reported to court for allegedly driving a motor vehicle while disqualified and using a motor vehicle on a road without valid third-party insurance.
The arrest is the latest in a series of recent police actions targeting suspected drug-related activity in and around Aylesbury.
Police have stressed the importance of information provided by members of the public in helping officers tackle criminal activity.
A spokesperson said: "Information from the public plays a vital role in helping us identify and target those involved in criminal activity. When concerns are reported to us, we listen and take action."
Anyone with information about suspected drug-related activity in their area is encouraged to report it to police.
