The chancellor is refusing to rule out further tax rises in the next five years - after announcing 40-billion pounds' worth of hikes in her budget - the biggest since 1993.
Rachel Reeves is promising to "rebuild Britain" - with more than half of the increases coming from higher national insurance contributions by employers.
Labour MP for Aylesbury - Laura Kyrke-Smith - has given her reaction to the budget:
A large sum will come from a 25-billion pound hike in employers' national insurance contributions - going up by 1-point-2 percentage points from April.
The Chancellor also announced more money for the NHS, schools, roads and investment in housing.
