A taxi driver in High Wycombe has been physically assaulted and verbally abused in a racially-motivated attack.
The incident occurred at around 3.20pm on Wednesday 1st December in Shelburne Road.
The offender ordered a taxi because his car had broken down but when it arrived he began calling the taxi driver derogatory names relating to his ethnic background.
At this the point, when the driver asked the offender to get out of the taxi, he was held by the neck and further verbally abused.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses of the attack to come forward.
The offender is described as a white man, approximately 5ft 5ins tall of slim build, with short brown hair, clean shaven and squashed facial features.
He was wearing brown clothes, had a deep voice and his broken-down car is described as a grey estate.
Investigating officer PC Cameron Parker-Graham based at High Wycombe police station, said: “We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or any with information about what happened, to please come forward.
