Bucks Council has been selected as one of 14 pilot areas to test the use of design codes when building new developments in the area.
These 'codes' will be a set of design rules made by local people that developers will have to abide by - like the design, layout of appearance of new buildings, for example - the colour of brick used to enhance the character of the area.
Selected areas will test how to give local communities a real say in the layout, design and appearance of buildings in their area.
For further details on how to get involve in the new Design Code, look out for updates on social media channels @BucksCouncil and on their website www.buckinghamshire.gov.uk as the project develops.
