Businesses looking to grow can now apply to hire spaces in selected council-owned parks.
After a successful trial last year, Buckinghamshire Council is re-opening applications for businesses to hire spaces in some of the county's most popular outdoor spaces.
They say it is a great opportunity for business owners looking for new opportunities in Bucks, with many beautiful parks and green spaces enjoyed by residents and visitors alike to choose from.
The Council is seeking interest from 'pop-up' businesses, including but not limited to coffee vans, healthy food vans, bootcamps/personal training, commercial events and festivals.
Businesses can apply now to operate within following 15 parks for up to 12 months:
- Vale Park (Aylesbury)
- The Rye (High Wycombe)
- Bedgrove Park (Aylesbury)
- Fairford Leys Playing Fields (Aylesbury)
- Riverside Walk - Meadowcroft (Aylesbury)
- Alfred Rose Memorial Park (Aylesbury)
- Hazlemere Recreation Ground (Hazlemere)
- Totteridge Recreation Ground (High Wycombe)
- Booker Recreation Ground (High Wycombe)
- Shelley Recreation Ground (High Wycombe)
- Desborough Recreation Ground (High Wycombe)
- Heartlands Park (Buckingham)
- Edinburgh Playing Fields (Aylesbury)
- Gossmore Recreation Ground Car Park (Marlow)
- Hughenden Park (High Wycombe)
Peter Brazier, Buckinghamshire Council's Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure, said:
"Buckinghamshire is a fantastic place to do business, and last year's trial showed just how much potential there is for businesses to thrive in our parks. We're delighted to re-open the scheme for applications this year. With so many beautiful parks and open spaces, this project is the perfect way to combine business growth with making use of our green spaces."
Businesses will need to enter into an agreement to hire a pop-up pitch within a park, and to hold public liability insurance and comply with other requirements, dependent on the nature of their activity.
