The project, Generate, was created to enhance the lives of elderly residents in the community by creating meaningful connection through companionship.
With the project also includes helping to run various activities to build new memories and uplift the wellbeing of local senior citizens.
Every week until July, AYA will be running a gardening project at Lewin House Care Home in Aylesbury every Thursday from 4-5pm.
Young people will spend quality time with the residents and spruce up their cafe garden! From swapping life stories over tea and squash to getting their hands dirty in the garden, volunteers and residents are growing more than just plants, they’re building friendships, trust, and a real sense of connection.
