A man has been sentenced for dangerous driving in Aylesbury.
Christopher Bingle, aged 22, of Limes Avenue, Aylesbury was sentenced to eight months in prison, suspended for 18 months and 120 hours of unpaid work.
Bingle has also been banned from driving for one year and must take an extended re-test before driving again.
Bingle pleaded guilty to one count of dangerous driving on 28 March.
He was sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday (26/4).
On 18 January, earlier this year, officers attempted to stop a BMW 5 series driven by Bingle.
He failed to stop for officers, and was pursued by officers through Aylesbury, putting members of the public at risk whilst weaving around traffic.
Bingle exited his car on Meadow Way and ran away from officers, before he was detained.
Investigating officer, PC James Gordon, based at Aylesbury police station, said: “I am pleased this pursuit was bought to a safe resolution and nobody was injured as a result of Bingle’s actions.
“Thames Valley Police will not tolerate dangerous driving and will be persistent in seeking convictions for those that offend.”
