Appeal for witnesses to two robberies in High Wycombe

Police are appealing for witnesses to the robbery and attempted robbery of children in High Wycombe.

At about 3pm on Sunday (16/4), a young male has approached a group of children in the underpass at the junction of the A40 and A404 near to Queen Victoria Road in High Wycombe.

The offender threatened them with violence and stole approximately £90 from one of them.

The second offence happened at the same location at about 4.30pm on Monday (17/4).

It is believed that the same offender assaulted a victim by slapping and punching him in the face, but nothing was stolen.

The victim suffered minor bruising to his face, but did not require hospital treatment.

The offender is described as a black male, aged between 16 and 18-years-old and slim.

He was wearing a dark green or black coat, two pairs of Adidas shorts, one blue and one grey underneath black jogging bottoms as well as a black durag or hood.

The offender was also riding a white and blue bicycle in both offences.

Investigating officer PC Ryan Hook, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed either of these incidents or who has camera or dash-cam footage from around the time of either incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“You can do so by making a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43230167101.

“Alternatively, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
