A Wendover teenager is hoping the local community can help her raise thousands of pounds for urgent spinal surgery.
15-year-old Hannah Jaggers was diagnosed with scoliosis only a few weeks ago, after the condition was discovered by chance.
The diagnosis has come as a huge shock to Hannah and her family. She is described as fit and active, taking part in cheerleading, drama classes and the Explorer Scouts.
Hannah is also involved as a young leader and volunteers with a SEND cheerleading team.
But scans and X-rays have shown that she needs specialist surgery sooner rather than later.

Her family says the operation needs to happen while Hannah is still growing, as delaying treatment could allow the curvature of her spine to progress and potentially result in more complicated surgery in the future.
The family says the NHS cannot provide the specialist treatment within the required timeframe, leaving them facing the cost of private treatment.
The operation and hospital stay have been quoted at around £59,600, with further costs for follow-up appointments and medication not included.
The surgery is currently planned for the beginning of November — despite Hannah being in the middle of her GCSE year.
Her family has launched a Crowdfunder with a target of £40,000 and is asking people to donate whatever they can, or simply share the appeal to help reach a wider audience.
Hannah’s family says the priority is giving her the chance to have the treatment she needs and return to the active life she enjoys.
