Council leader Stephen Broadbent and Arif Hussain, Chair of the Buckinghamshire Faith Forum, issued the statement the following statement on Friday (3/10)
The Council say they are deeply shocked and saddened by the tragic events that occurred in Manchester. Our sincerest sympathies are with the families mourning the loss of loved ones, and with all those whose lives have been impacted by this heart breaking incident.
In times like these, we are reminded of the importance of solidarity and compassion. No matter our backgrounds or beliefs, we stand united with the people of Manchester, the wider Jewish Community and those of Jewish faith that live and work within Buckinghamshire. They are in our thoughts, and we join in wishing them comfort, strength, and healing.
"This is a moment of profound sorrow. Our hearts are with Manchester, and we stand alongside its communities in grief and in hope. As a county, we will not tolerate division or hate. We urge everyone to look out for one another, to show kindness and resilience, and to uphold the values that bind us together."
