Over 2,600 local residents signed a petition to save Leighton Buzzard Post Office.
The local Liberal Democrays started the petition after news broke in November that the Church Square site was earmarked for closure.
Local councillors Emma Holland-Lindsay and Shaun Roberts travelled to Post Office HQ in London to hand the petition to Post Office bosses.
Leighton Buzzard Liberal Democrats said: "Leighton Linslade residents have spoken loud and clear: our Post Office must stay open. These damaging closure plans must be scrapped."
"We hope the Post Office listen to the strength of local feeling and scrap these damaging closure plans."
