The NHS is going to use Artificial intelligence to track people's eating and drinking habits to try to stop them becoming unwell.
The scheme in Buckinghamshire is among measures across England being piloted to cut the number of avoidable admissions to hospital.
It will see AI technology being connected to electronic sensors on kettles and fridges to spot changes.
Any concerns are flagged to teams who contact patients to stop the situation escalating.
Last week 7-point-7 million people were on NHS waiting lists in England, the highest since records began in 2007.
