Major railway upgrades are taking place this year in Buckinghamshire which will affect journeys between August and October.
The brick-built culvert in Aylesbury was damaged earlier this year which had lead to the repeated short-notice closures of the line due to heavy rain.
A temporary repair was made, and monitoring equipment installed, but during heavy rain or repeated uses of the locks in the Grand Union Canal, the railway must close as water levels fill the culvert, obscuring the monitoring equipment.
The work is set to be carried out over 12 weeks between August and October.
Replacement buses will run during the works.
