
Schools across Buckinghamshire are celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE and Level 2 results today, as students, families, and staff gathered to mark the culmination of five years of hard work, determination, and resilience.
The Buckingham School reported another year of strong academic success, with Year 11 students achieving excellent GCSE and BTEC Level 2 results. The school praised the dedication of its students and staff, noting the personal achievements that reflect years of effort both inside and outside the classroom.
Buckinghamshire College Group also congratulated its students, highlighting not only their achievements but also the support available as they plan their next steps. A special mention was given to staff member Martyn, who celebrated alongside students after passing his own GCSE Maths. The college encouraged students seeking guidance to take advantage of its drop-in support service.
At Aylesbury High School, students achieved a remarkable set of results, with an impressive 70% of grades awarded at 7, 8, or 9. The school praised the resilience and determination of its Year 11s and thanked teachers and families for their continued support.

Meanwhile, The Cottesloe School in Wing celebrated its students’ determination, particularly as students began secondary school during the challenges of the pandemic. Results included:

Headteacher Simon Jones praised the community effort behind the successes, noting the vital role of parents and staff in helping students “Prepare, Aspire, and Succeed.” Many students will now move on to the school’s Sixth Form, apprenticeships, or further education.
