After intruders damaged the pitch and stole a goal net from Thame United’s football ground, the club have announced some positive news.
Their new artificial pitch training facility at Meadow View Park is now taking shape, with external fencing and floodlight pylons now in place.
Planning permission has also been approved for the lights and stands around the main outside grass pitch.
Chairman of Thame Football Partnership, Richard Carr said:
"Despite lockdown the contractors have been able to crack on with the training pitch development meaning completion has not been delayed. This Artificial Pitch combined with the lights around our second full size pitch will further enhance Meadow View Park's position as the premier football facility in the area. All that will be missing will be football!"
