The Aylesbury born footballer was honoured by William at his first official engagement since his father was diagnosed with cancer and his wife, Kate, underwent surgery.
White, who scored 52 goals in 113 England appearances, received her MBE at Windsor Castle on Wednesday (07/1) for services to football.
She said Prince William, who is President of the Football Association and she's met several times before, made her feel at ease as they spoke at the ceremony. She also revealed she sent her best wishes to the King.
The striker, who went to the Grange School in Aylesbury, played at 3 Women's World Cups, reaching the semi finals twice and winning the Golden Boot at the 2019 tournament. She was played for Team GB in 2 Summer Olympics, while her club career included spells at Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City.
She retired in 2022, and gave birth to his first child, a daughter, 9 months ago.
