Do you want to write the next Matilda, BFG or Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory?
Well you can go on a self-guided walk to discover famous author Roald Dahl this weekend.
Follow in Roald Dahl’s footstep through the beautiful countryside and village where he lived.
Use the lovely views and get close up with nature to help you create story elements. When you’re home again, come back to this page for more story inspiration, including further activities to take part in and videos to watch!
It's FREE to take part! Click here to download the trail map, or pick up a copy from the Museum entrance (available from 22-25 July 2021 only). You don't need a ticket to the Museum to enjoy this activity, however if you wish to tie in the walk with a visit to the Museum, you must book tickets in advance.
The walk will take around 40-60 minutes to complete. It is mostly along paved routes, although the last few metres are over bumpy grass on a downhill slope. Parts of the walk are up and downhill.
