The Chiltern Open Air Museum in Chalfont St Giles is holding its very own garden day this week.
On Sunday the 27th between 10am and 5pm, garden lovers will be able to discover all types of garden, aswell as allotments, and orchards.
There will be lots to do, learn and see in the museum grounds, like:
- The Gardening Team will be on hand all day to chat about the gardens and the work that they are doing.
- In the Victorian tollhouse garden you can discover the traditional medicine and culinary uses of plants and herbs grown.
- The Wildlife Trust will be on site to talk to visitors and you can learn how to improve the wildlife in your garden.
-You can channel your inner Poldark by watching traditional scythe cutting demonstrations outside Henton tin chapel!
- Take a peek inside the moth trap and discover the abundance of insects enjoying the gardens and the work that they do.
- And to keep the little ones entertained you can take part in family activities such as trails, seed planting and bug house making.
