The A418 through Bierton will be closed from Monday April 7th until Sunday April 20th.
It's for repairs to the road and work on the traffic calming measures. There's a map of the route and diversion below.
The company responsible for the works, P&S Plant and Construction, say access will be maintained for residents and businesses, and have issued this information for motorists:
- The A418 will be closed between the A4157 and the junction of Mike Griffin Way. This includes access to and from Burcott Lane from the A418.
- Access for residents, businesses and emergency services will be provided solely from the Aylesbury (A4157) end, managed by an on-site operative.
- Works will comprise the installation of the outstanding permanent build-outs and finalisation of the scheme including amendments following the interim Stage 3 Safety Audit.
- Revised plans can be viewed on our website shortly.
"24-hour access will be maintained for residents and businesses. However, there will be occasions where drivers are temporarily delayed access. We apologise for this inconvenience.

Please check our website regularly as updates will be posted prior to and during the works.
Whilst every effort will be made to stick to our programme we cannot always guarantee these exact dates will be met. Experience has shown that no matter how much preparation is conducted there will always be the potential for unforeseen challenges in relation to weather and in the ground once the works begin. In such circumstances we will of course do our utmost to get back onto programme and we will conduct regular updates to this web page to ensure that you are fully informed of the current dates".
