The club will celebrate their rich history this Saturday (11/4).
Fans, former players and managers will come together this Saturday (11th April) to celebrate Aylesbury United's rich history at the Meadow in Chesham. The Ducks were founded in 1897, and have played an important role in non-league football for more than a century. They were also Southern League champions in 1987–88, became the first non-league team to be televised live and are still the only non-league team ever to have played against England.
The celebration will include a memorabilia exhibition commemorating this history, featuring rare programmes, historic photographs, medals, shirts, and other items from Aylesbury United’s archives. Fans are also encouraged to bring along their own memorabilia. Robert Day and Company, Aylesbury Town Council and HPL Insurance Services are sponsoring the event, which will run from 1pm until 5pm.
Legends day also coincides with the Ducks home game against Stotfold FC, which kicks off at 3pm. Following United's win on Monday (6th April) at Thame, they are guaranteed a place in the Southern League again next season.
