They are backing Keep Britain Tidy’s #BigBagChallenge - which is encouraging everyone just to pick one bag of litter in their area.
The campaign runs from 25 March to 10 April, and calls on families, neighbours, friends and colleagues to join forces and pledge to pick a bag of litter from nearby streets and beauty spots in order to protect our vibrant communities and precious wildlife habitats.
The Mayor of Aylesbury, Cllr Anders Christensen, said: “Members of the public, local schools, community groups and businesses are welcome to borrow Aylesbury Town Council’s Litter Pick Kits to help them with their pledge and remove litter from streets and parks in our local area.
“The Litter Pick Kits are available to anyone within the parish of Aylesbury who would like to participate in the Great British Spring Clean. They include litter pickers, high vis jackets and bin bags. An arrangement can also be made for the Town Council to collect rubbish that has been picked.”
If you would like to borrow a Litter Pick Kit from Aylesbury Town Council, email info@aylesburytowncouncil.gov.uk or call 01296 425 678.
