At around 8pm on Saturday (13/8) an orange KTM scrambler motorbike was involved in a collision with a parked car on Nags Head Lane, Great Missenden.
The rider, a 26-year-old man from Buckinghamshire, sustained serious injuries but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of medics from South Central Ambulance and The Thames Valley Air Ambulance, as well as by members of the public.
No one else was injured as a result of the collision.
Investigating officer PC Richard Martin of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, based at Amersham, said: “Sadly following this incident a man has died, his next of kin have been informed and are being offered support.
“Our thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
“We are appealing for witnesses and would particularly like to speak to anyone who may have seen the motorbike travelling in the local area prior to the collision.
“If anyone has information we would ask them to report online or call 101 quoting reference 43220361927.”
