Friars Friday
Friars Aylesbury is a music club that runs in Aylesbury. It opened in 1969 but closed down twice, once in 1970 for a period of nine months, and again in 1984 for a period of twenty-five years. Friars Aylesbury re-opened in June 2009 to tie in with its fortieth anniversary.
Join Nathan Cooper between 10am and 2pm week day Fridays for "Friars Friday". Every week he plays a track from a band who played Friars - from Bowie to Blondie, The Police to U2, and some little surprises too! If you've got memories of going to the gigs, let Nathan know using the form below, and also watch the documentary produced by Bucks TV.
Watch the documentary Bucks TV produced covering all four phases of this legendary club. With interviews and memories from the founding fathers, the bands and artists who performed over the years, and the local fans.
