  Temporary Overnight Closure – A41 Aston Clinton Bypass

  The A41 Aston Clinton Bypass will be subject to a temporary overnight closure to allow essential pothole repairs to be carried out.
  
  Closure dates:
  • From: Thursday 16th to Sunday 19th April.
  
  During this period, the road will be closed overnight between 8pm and 5am.
  On Saturday 18th April, between 7am and 7pm, a reduced closure will be in place. This is to safely support a filming a driving sequence being undertaken by Red Ribbon Productions Limited. A closure is required during this time to ensure the safety of the filming crew, road users, and the wider public.
  Clearly signed diversion routes will be in place for all affected traffic during the closure periods.
  We appreciate that these works may cause some inconvenience and would like to thank residents, businesses, and road users for their patience while these essential repairs and additional filming activities are carried out.

  Upper Winchendon / Chearsley Road

  If you travel between Waddesdon, Long Crendon or Thame, Temporary pothole repairs have been carried out recently.
  The worst section (near the observatory) will now be closed for a full repair patch (43m²).

  Wendover Road, Aylesbury (Hampden Hall)

  Multiple works for the SEALR project, this will be a 24hr closure

  Waddesdon – High Street / Quainton Road

  Two-way lights will be in place to reconnect streetlight LC022, which has been out of action for several years.
  13th – 14th April

  A413 between Winslow and Whitchurch

  Night time closures of A413 between Winslow (Swanbourne Turn) and Whitchurch planned for 8pm to 5am from 6-9 and 13-16 April for lining and other highway repairs.

  Whittingham Avenue in Wendover will be closed

  Monday 13 April to Friday 24 April 2026.
  This is to allow essential Distribution Network Connection (DNO) works to take place, enabling the installation of a new public electric vehicle charging point

  A418 (Fairford Leys to The Bugle Horn)

  Overnight closure by HS2.
  8pm 18th April – 5am 19th April

  HS2 Works Notification: Notice of overnight road closure, Ellesborough Road, Wendover

  HS2 will be doing some overnight works on Ellesborough Road to complete bridge inspection and maintenance.

  • Single night closure of Ellesborough Road (temporary realignment) for one night only.
