Fire crews were called out in the early hours of Monday due to a kitchen fire in Aylesbury.
The incident happened at 12.25am in a property on Prebendal Avenue, Aylesbury.
Firefighters had to rescue a woman from the property and used immediate emergency care to treat her for the effects of breathing in smoke.
They used hose reel, and breathing apparatus to tackle the fire, which had started in material close to the kitchen hob.
One man and two children had got out of the property, uninjured, before the firefighters arrived.
