A 72-year-old woman has suffered a serious injury that required surgery after being hit by a car on Chesham High Street.
The incident occurred at approximately 10.15am on Sunday 20th February when a Toyota Prius hit a pedestrian near the taxi rank.
The pedestrian suffered a broken leg and was taken to hospital where they were operated on.
PC John Belson of the Amersham Roads Policing department, said: “This incident occurred in the town centre of Chesham on Sunday morning.
“I am appealing to anybody who may have witnessed the collision or the events leading up to it to please get in touch.
“I would also like to hear from anybody who was in the area and may have dash-cam footage from the collision to please contact us by making a report online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43220077935.
“I would like to thank everyone who came to assist the pedestrian in what was a particularly stressful incident that occurred in inclement weather.”
