At around 12.30am on Monday (1/8), an offender argued with the victim, a woman in her sixties, in Star Yard Car Park in Parsonage Lane before pushing her to the floor and dragging her across the car park.
The victim suffered a graze to her elbow but did not require hospital treatment.
A 54-year-old man from Chesham has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault by beating and intentional strangulation, and has been released on police bail until 28 August. However Police are still looking for any information to help with their investigations.
Investigating officer PC Oliver Harris, based at Amersham police station, said:
“I am appealing for any witnesses to this incident to please come forward.
“I understand there was a group of Asian males in the car park at the time of the offence so I hope they may have seen what happened and get in touch.
“Also, if you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were driving in the area around the time, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something.
