The service that supports victims and witnesses of crime across the Thames Valley has announced updated new opening hours from today, Monday 11 May.
The free support service will now operate Monday to Thursday from 9am to 6pm, excluding bank holidays, and on Fridays from 9am to 4.30pm.
Run by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley, Victims First provides emotional and practical support to victims and witnesses of crime, as well as family members of victims, across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes.
The service supports people affected by all types of crime and includes specialist services for victims of sexual violence, domestic abuse and stalking. A dedicated Children and Young People’s Support After Crime Service is also available for children and young people aged between five and 18 who have experienced crime.
Victims First said support is available regardless of when the crime took place or whether it was reported to police.
Residents across the Thames Valley area who have experienced crime as a victim or witness and require support are encouraged to contact the service.
Support is available by telephone on 0300 1234 148 or through live chat via the official Victims First website.
Online referrals can also be made outside opening hours through the Victims First support referral page, with a member of the team contacting individuals afterwards.
