Two men arrested after boy murdered in High Wycombe

Police investigating the murder of a 17-year-old boy in High Wycombe have made two arrests.

On Sunday (7/5), Officers were called following reports of a stabbing in the Easton Street area of the town.

Officers attended along with the ambulance service but tragically, a 17-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene. The boy is yet to be formally identified.

Another boy, also aged 17, was wounded and has been taken to hospital. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

On Monday (8/5) officers made two arrests. These are a 49-year-old man and a 29-year-old man.

Both are from High Wycombe and both have been arrested on suspicion of murder. They remain in police custody.

Senior investigating officer, Detective Superintendent Kevin Brown, head of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: “Our investigation into this tragic incident continues at pace, and we have now made two arrests.

“I would like to reiterate my appeal for anyone who was in the area of Easton Street between 6.45pm and 7.30pm on Sunday evening (7/5) to come forward. If you saw anything unusual or have any dash cam or video footage from that location at that time, please get in touch on the numbers below.

“There remains a large police presence in the town while our investigation continues. Members of the public should feel free to approach our officers if they have questions but please bear in mind that there will be some information they cannot share with you.
