Thames Valley Police have launched the 2025 Community Policing Awards, celebrating the exceptional individuals who go above and beyond to keep our communities safe, connected, and supported.
The annual Community Policing Awards shine a spotlight on the officers, staff, volunteers, and community members whose dedication and service have made a lasting impact over the past year. Nominations are open until Friday 18 July, and Thames Valley Police is calling on the public to help recognise their local heroes.
Superintendent John Batty, Head of Community Policing, said:
“Community Policing is one of the cornerstones of modern policing, and yet so often the efforts of our teams and local partners go unseen. These awards are an opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding work being done every day. Importantly, these awards are largely driven by community nominations – making them a true reflection of the value our people bring. If someone has made a difference to you or your neighbourhood, please take a few moments to tell us why they deserve to be recognised.”
Members of the public are encouraged to submit nominations across a wide range of categories:
• Community Officer
• Police Community Support Officer
• Special Constable
• Diversity and Inclusion Champion
• Cadet
• Volunteer
• Community Volunteer (member of the public)
• Problem Solving and Prevention Award
• Inspirational Leadership Award
To nominate someone for a 2025 Community Policing Award, visit the Thames Valley Police website (external link) or contact your local policing team.
Each nomination should include detailed examples of how the nominee has made a difference, helping them stand out to the judging panel.
Deadline for nominations: Friday 18 July 2025
