The A418 through the village is closed while work is carried out this Easter, the temporary chicanes and work done so far through should now be completed over the next few weeks.

- 7th–20th April road closure.
- The A418 will be closed between the A4157 and the junction of Mike Griffin Way. This includes access to and from Burcott Lane from the A418.
- Access for residents, businesses and emergency services will be provided solely from the Aylesbury (A4157) end, managed by an on-site operative.
- Works will comprise the installation of the outstanding permanent build-outs and finalisation of the scheme including amendments following the interim Stage 3 Safety Audit.

24-hour access will be maintained for residents and businesses. However, there will be occasions where drivers are temporarily delayed access.

PROGRAMME DURING THE ROAD CLOSURE:
The below schedule of works is the intended programme during the closure. Whilst every effort will be made to keep to this, there may be unforeseen circumstances that may result in changes as required.
- 07/04/25 to 14/04/25: Construction of all remaining islands to be completed.
- 08/04/25: Tarmac on the cycle lane to be removed over 2 days.
- 09/04/25 to 10/04/25: New tarmac to be installed on the cycle lane.
- 10/04/25: New tarmac preparation to commence in applicable locations between the traffic calming features.
- 11/04/25: Installation of cycle bollards will commence with a 7 day installation period.
- 13/04/25 to 16/04/25: New tarmac to be laid over a 4-day period in applicable locations between the traffic calming features.
- 13/04/25 to 16/04/25: Permanent signs to be installed.
- 20/04/25 (evening): All works are expected to be completed by this date.
