Tariq Javed from Aylesbury failed to comply with the House of Multiple Occupancy regulations for his property on St Johns Road, Aylesbury.
He failed to meet minimum standards for the property after multiple warnings. Issues it included were a non-working fire detection unit, trip hazards on the stairway and blocked fire escape routes to name a few.
He also failed to comply with notices to provide legal documents such as tenancy agreements and gas safety certificates.
Mr Javed failed to appear before the court to explain his actions and was fined £48,000 which included over £6000 in costs at Buckinghamshire Magistrates Court on 16th February 2021.
