Repeat Aggressive Begging – Aylesbury Town Centre: Police Appeal for Public Help

The Aylesbury Town Centre Neighbourhood Policing Team has issued an alert following a rise in aggressive begging incidents across the town centre, some of which have escalated into public order offences.

Police have responded to growing concerns from residents and visitors, as well as media appeals for help identifying individuals connected to recent confrontations.

“We are aware of the distress this behaviour is causing and are treating it as a priority,” a police spokesperson said. “Tackling this issue long-term depends on community reporting.”

Authorities are urging the public to report any aggressive or intimidating begging directly to the police to support enforcement action and ensure public safety.

 HOW TO REPORT:
If you witness aggressive begging or related incidents in Aylesbury Town Centre:
Report online: https://orlo.uk/XyZq9

Why Reporting Matters:

  • Enables police to identify repeat offenders

  • Helps build evidence for intervention and safeguarding

  • Supports ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and welcoming town centre for all

The Town Centre Neighbourhood Team emphasised their thanks to the public:

“Your reports make a real difference. Together, we can keep Aylesbury safe.”
