As temperatures are set to reach at least 33 degrees this weekend and going into next week, Aylesbury police are warning residents of the risks before it too late.
They have issued this statement on their Facebook Page:
"This hot weather increases the risk of fire, especially in rural areas! 🔥
Fire destroys crops & buildings, machinery & vehicles, kills & destroys wildlife & their habitat & ruins livelihoods for individuals & businesses! 🚒🔥
Please consider the following advice during this hot weather:
Do not light bonfires ⛔️🔥
Dispose of cigarettes 🚬 safely
Be careful where you place BBQ’s, especially disposable ones!
Hang your washing on an airer or line, avoid using a tumble dryer!🧺
