Plans for the motorway style road that would have run across rural parts of north Buckinghamshire has officially been abandoned.
Construction of the expressway had been paused for some time, before the decision was made today to cancel completely.
The proposed route of the carriageway would have cut across some of the more rural parts of North Bucks.
Martin Tett, Leader of Buckinghamshire Council said “This is great news for Buckinghamshire and its residents. The Expressway would have torn a large hole across some of the most beautiful countryside in the county with little benefit to local residents."
