As Breast Cancer Awareness month gets underway, a call has gone out for people in Bucks to help fund pioneering research.
Bucks Radio is teaming up with Against Breast Cancer, as the charity works to improve survival rates of patients and “ultimately” develop a vaccine for the disease.
You can help by donating old and unwanted bras at our collection points. These will be recycled for cash to fund research.

The charity, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, receives and recycles thousands of tonnes of bras each year. The garments also help to support small businesses in developing countries in Africa and around the world. Together with the recycling partners, the textile recovery project prevents these bras going into landfill before giving them a new lease of life in countries such as Togo, Ghana and Kenya, where bras remain expensive to produce locally.
Recycling and Customer Services Manager, Alison Wilson, has been speaking to Bucks Radio about how they use the money:
