Some homes and businesses in the HP19, HP21 & HP22 postcode area are without water this morning (7/9). Thames Water have now confirmed it's due to a burst water pipe in Ambleside,
In a statement, at 14:15 the company said:
"Sorry if your water wasn't flowing as normal this morning. We’re working to fix a burst water pipe in Ambleside, which has affected customers in HP19, HP20, HP21 & HP22.
We know how disruptive it is if you lose your water supply, and we’ll work hard to get things back to normal quickly as possible. We've managed to stem the flow of water from the broken pipe and have diverted water around our network of pipes. Your water supply should now have returned. The pressure may be lower than normal at first, but this will continue to improve throughout this afternoon return to normal once we've completed fixing the broken pipe.
If you or someone you know could use a bit of extra help, especially during incidents like this, our free Priority Services Register is here to make sure we understand and support your needs. We’re here if you need any advice after an incident. If your supply still isn’t back to normal, we’re here to help. Please let us know
We'll provide a further update when further information is available. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we work to get things back to normal".
