Councillor Nidhi Mehta will take over from Cllr Alan Sherwell.
The announcement came after tonight's Annual Council meeting (15/5).
Cllr Mehta's deputy will be Cllr Sherrilyn Bateman, with the Mayor Making Ceremony taking place next Friday evening.
Cllr Richard Lloyd has been re-elected as Leader of Aylesbury Town Council
Aylesbury's new Mayor has previously said:
"What is important to me is standing up for issues that people feel are important and be the voice of the community, especially the most vulnerable.
The changes I would like to see within the Parish are better roads and better managed traffic, better secondary schools and for the town to develop as a Garden Town.
My favourite places to go in Aylesbury are Simply Thai, Waterside Theatre, Town Market and Watermead. I enjoy gardening, spending time with family and friends, listening to music and volunteering".
