Next week, Thames Valley Police will once again join police forces across the country in a national week of action designed to fight knife crime.
Called Operation Sceptre, the knife amnesty campaign will run between Monday 16th May and Sunday 22nd May, during which time the public can safely and anonymously dispose of any type of knife or bladed article.
Police say the aims of the operation are to remove dangerous weapons from the streets, reduce knife crime and raise awareness of the dangers and consequences of carrying a knife.
Permanent knife amnesty bins are located at Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Milton Keynes police stations.
An additional bin is located at Southcourt Baptist Church, in Penn Road, Aylesbury.
